Holy Angels English High School achieved a historic milestone by securing the first and second prize at the prestigious Inter-School State Level Dance Competition, organized by Nrutya Malhar. The grand finale, held in Pune on January 21, 2026, was a massive gathering of talent featuring approximately 8,000 students from 580 schools representing 36 districts across Maharashtra.
The boys’ team captivated the audience and judges alike with a powerful rendition of Tapetta Gullu, ultimately claiming the 1st prize in 8th -9th std. category. Known for its vigorous rhythm and exceptional tempo, the boys demonstrated flawless synchronization, performing while simultaneously striking drums tied to their chests. The participants were Mast. Prathamesh Kamble, Mast. Shyam Ram, Mast. Bhavesh Mestry, Mast. Soham Pawar, Mast. Naman Shetty, Mast. Tanmay Sutar, Mast. Gaurav Jadhav, Mast. Aarush Dewarshi, Mast. Mitansh Kadu, and Mast. Prince Solanki.
Further bolstering the school’s success, the girls’ team secured the 2nd place in the highly competitive 5th–7th standard category. Their graceful performance of Hojagiri showcased incredible poise, featuring intricate footwork executed while balancing on earthen pitchers (Kalash) and managing additional props, including bottles on their heads without breaking their rhythmic flow. The participants were Miss. Ananya Sharma, Miss. Nandani Tiwari, Miss. Yogita Prajapat, Miss. Anandi Choudhary, Miss. Unnati Parmar, Miss. Janhvi Pandey, Miss. Aarushi Patil, Miss. Divya Saini, Miss.
